It is a real promo ad, handed out by the bank Friday night at a party for Wall Street reporters. Snapped by a WSJ reporter.

If it was a spoof, some "joke."

The chasm between these pompous douches and people who live in the real world is so wide that they won't ever be able to understand why they were the first against the wall. Jeez.

actually, I gotta say - that is a better, clearer message than ANYTHING OWS has put forth yet.

Forgive student loans?
Forgive all underwater mortgages?
Minimum wage of $40K a year?

These are non-starters and are indicative of why this "movement" is failing to connect with the 99% they falsely claim to represent and so desperately need for this "occupation" to be remembered as anything but the Million Hipster March.

BNY Mellon spokesperson says it was an ad create specifically for this event's (Financial Follies) program:

So they were maybe trying to be funny?

That actually makes it worse.

We've been on Wall Street since it was primarily a slave market. Slavey, it's not just in the South!

If the base of the building were a little wider on either side, it could look like it was giving the middle finger salute..
