Yes, this is a real beer via the state of Utah, land of the magic underwear.
Previously: Russian sexxxy beer.

I've been seeing this company's branding on swag t-shirts around Portland for a year or so and wasn't sure if it was a real beer or not. I have no idea if these shirts are being worn "ironically" or if they're actually trying to say to the world "I'm a sleazy dirtbag." (Which would be useful! It's good to know that before you talk to someone.)

The first case of beer given to me as a fresh twenty-one year old was the locally brewed Polygamy Porter.

The beer and shirts are, of course, poking fun at the history of the dominant religion of the State of Utah. It's possible the people wearing PolyPorter shirts in Portland are nostalgia driven transplants from SLC, my hometown; I have quite a few friends who've moved to Northwest.

And now, entirely by coincidence, I'm going to head over to The Pacific Standard - an Oregon themed bar in Brooklyn.
