How much do you hate the breezy, douchy State Farm Guy?

He's actor Eddie Matos. And he's everywhere on the TV these days. He's inspired a facebook page, an assassination video, and Googlers hate him (click image).

His breezy douchiness is pretty damn annoying. Poll time! Who's the most annoying spokesperson ever? Matos? Mr. Opportunity? Snuggle? The Balvenie Weenie? Flo? Or, Men's Wearhouse CEO George Zimmer? Vote/add your own in the comments, if you want.

Insurance companies are in a race for douche. My vote goes to the Allstate "Mayhem" guy. Scaring folks into expensive insurance during a recession. Yep, a satellite dish COULD blow off the roof and a football team flag COULD fly off a car. A butterfly in Africa COULD flap his wings and start a hurricane...

Don't get me started......

Oh god, it's Flo. I saw the actress on Mad Men, and she's fine it's just that stupid character is so unlikeable.

Definitely the smug, condescending prick blond guy who was the Subway mascot/spokesman maybe five to ten years ago. Said things like, "Where did *your* bread come from, Farmer Brown?" (Paraphrasing.) Fucking murderous-rage blood-pressure spike every goddamn time. Nightmare.

By a lot.

I don't think anyone but pro wrestling nerds will get this, but the State Farm guy reminds me of Alberto Del Rio, in the promo videos leading up to his debut.

Mister Opportunity and Flo are pretty close at the top.

Wow, I would like to confess my love to you—you just "get it." This guy sucks, and I thought maybe I was the only one who had noticed. TV goes off every time he comes on.

I'm torn between the Nationwide super-salesman-on-crack and the über-annoying woman from the Progressive ads. She might take the prize just for the damn frequency of that media plan.

I didn't think it could get worse than flo (who's bubbly demeanor makes me want to push her down a hole and dump boiling oil on her) but THIS guy takes the cake.
I guarantee he will get an ass beating at a bar somewhere as he uses his "do you know who I am" bullshit on some bouncer ...just wait.

NO ONE and I mean NO ONE in the history of advertising was a more annoying spokesman than the rat faced, mulleted UPS whiteboard campaign. (and yes, I know he was the creative director from the agency)

How about a tried and true remedy, may they all get 'shamwowed', meaning, may some prostitute bite their tongues and not let go.

Yes, this guy is awful. But I hear State Farm is mighty proud, as they deem him an example of progressive multicultural marketing — he might have started in Hispanic market commercials. Anyway, here's a truly embarrassing attempt to integrate him with the Black-targeted efforts.

I saw him on an episode of House and hated him on that, too.

I agree! He has no "pull-you-in" personality. I was apart of Texas State's NSAC team in 2010. The client was State Farm. I feel like the only reason why I paid attention to this ad is because I was so involved with State Farm.

Otherwise, it would have no pull. At all.

It's true that insurance advertisers have a lot of annoying spokespeople. Let's not forget Justin Case for Safe Auto.

Also, why do they keep zooming in on the minorities in that commercial?

Besides the fact that he comes off as a total douche, he's walking around ANNOYING EVERYONE... geesh, shut the fuck up.

He's as bad as the Toyota kid.

Now Flo, she seems like a good egg.

I HATE the Stae farm guy. And I would cheerfully run over the Toyota hipster kid. Flo? I know she's a caricature. Annoying, but not trying to be "genuine".
